German vocalist Frauke Aulbert has been called “Hamburg’s Queen of the Avante garde.” With a four octave range and a pocket full of extended vocal techniques, Frauke takes curiosity very seriously, and is one of the most accomplished virtuosic vocalists in the new music world today. Her set on the Resonant Bodies Festival on the closing night, September 8th, features improvisations using tuvan throat singing and beatboxing, as well as works by Christine MacComb and Alexander Schubert.
