Episode 27: Nina Dante

Nina Dante chats with Festival director Lucy Dhegrae about her upcoming set on April 6 at Constellation for the first-ever Chicago Resonant Bodies Festival. Nina’s set includes pieces by composers Stratis Minakakis and Pablo Chin (whose piece is inspired by Chavela Vargas), as well as a premiere of an original work by Dante, “El canto mio es un grito” which stems from her recent work as an improviser. Though she is a core member of the group Fonema Consort, a group with an inclination for the Latin American new music world, her Chicago Festival set will be a totally solo voice experience.
