Episode 03: Julia Bullock

Soprano Julia Bullock talks with RBF director Lucy Dhegrae about her upcoming set for the opening night of the 2016 Festival on September 6th at Roulette. Bullock's program is inspired by the poetry of Wallace Stevens and will feature Lukas Foss's Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird for soprano, percussion, prepared piano, and flute; She is Asleep by John Cage, for voice and piano; and David Hertzberg's song cycle Ablutions of Oblivion for voice and piano, premiered in 2014 at Bullock's Young Concert Artists debut recital in Merkin Concert Hall.
